Round 2: Queensland Environmental Legacy Grants

Round 2: Queensland Environmental Legacy Grants of the Grassroots Environmental Grants program.

Applications are now open for grants of up to $25,000 (excluding GST) will be provided to eligible recipients to undertake on-ground environmental conservation activities that focus on greening and/or rewilding local community spaces, supporting preparations for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games across Queensland. A total of $1.2 million in funding is available under this round of the grant program.

Projects funded will be those that encourage community participation and must demonstrate:

• how the activities will rehabilitate or revegetate a community space; and

• the ongoing benefits to the local community and Queensland’s natural environment.
