National Landcare Award Winners – Lake Baroon Catchment Care Group
Congratulations to the Lake Baroon Catchment Care Group team – winners of the Australian Government Excellence in Sustainable Farm Practices award at last week’s National Landcare Awards held in Brisbane.
QWaLC member group Lake Baroon Catchment Care (LBCCG) www.lbccg.org.au has been working with farmers across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland region to identify and find solutions to agricultural run-off, which has been a growing issue for lakes and rivers. Thanks to SEQ Water and Sunshine Coast Council for their support of this long term program.
