National Volunteer Week is celebrated every year as an appreciation of the contribution millions of Australian’s make by giving their time and energy to worthy causes. This includes the over 30,000 hardworking Queensland environmental volunteers who passionately protect and care for our valuable land and water assets. Do you want to get involved? You could find a Landcare group near you to volunteer with. Volunteering offers many benefits, including opportunities to gain new skills and knowledge, enjoy a sense of achievement and fulfilment, personal development and boosted self-esteem, as well as connect to and better understand your local community.
