Financial support is now available for eligible residents in Gold Coast, Logan and Redland council areas who have been impacted by Tropical Cyclone Alfred 
A range of disaster assistance can be accessed including emergency payments of $180 for individuals, up to $900 for a family of five or more to cover the costs of food, clothing and medicine.
Affected residents in activated areas can check eligibility and apply via www.qld.gov.au/disasterhelp or by calling the Queensland Community Recovery Hotline on 1800 173 349.
Assistance is being provided through the joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
QRA is closely monitoring the evolving impacts of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred and is positioned ready to activate all support measures required through the DRFA.
