The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is pleased to advise the 2023 Grant Opportunity Guidelines for round two of the Urban Rivers and Catchments Program are now available.
Round two is a competitive grant round. Further background information, including a pre-recorded information briefing (including transcript) is available on the department’s website. Under round two, a total of $109 million (from 2024-25 over 4 four years) is available for project grants. It is expected this will fund around 100 waterway projects around Australia.
There are two distinct grant opportunities:
- Stream one – small to medium-scale project grants of between $150,000 to $2 million for community-led projects. A total of $51 million is available under this stream.
- Stream two – larger scale project grants of between $2 million to $10 million for projects that include co-investment. A total of $58 million is available under this stream.
Projects must be located within the eligible geographic boundaries of the program and meet the eligibility criteria.
The 2023 Grant Opportunity Guidelines and supporting information, including a sample application form, and sample templates to support an application (including a project plan template), are now available. Please note that applications must be completed online through the GrantConnect portal.
