Under the WHS Regulation a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) including employers must proactively manage the risk of sexual harassment and sex or gender-based harassment at work.

From 1 March 2025, a prevention plan is required to manage identified risks to the health and safety of workers, or others, from sexual harassment and sex or gender-based harassment at work.

To support you, Worksafe QLD has created the following resources:
• Guide for PCBUs – everything an employer needs to know about managing the risk of sexual harassment and sex or gender-based harassment at work.
• A prevention plan template – this can be completed by PCBUs to fulfil their obligations under the WHS Regulation.
• Example of a completed prevention plan – an example document to show what PCBUs can include within each step of their prevention plan. Read more

A Word version of the template is available in the QWaLC Toolbox resources https://qwalc.org.au/policies-and-templates/
